 We're an independent insurance firm that specializes in giving you the best possible experience when it comes to getting the right coverage for all of your insurance needs. We make this possible because we don't make "Clients", we make friends. And as a locally owned, and operated, firm we fully understand the needs of our neighbors. And with over five decades of providing the greater Lafayette area with coverage, our friends call on us before any of their insurance decisions are made because they know that we can provide them with the peace of mind they need, and deserve.

Our History:

 Boudreaux & Burley Insurance began after Pervis Boudreaux's daughter decided she wanted to continue serving her fathers faithful customers. Since 1958 Pervis Boudreaux has been an independent insurance provider located right here in Lafayette, LA with the Shine Young Insurance Agency. And at only 12 years of age, his daughter, Pam, began collecting insurance premiums with the expansion of the D.S. Young Insurance Agency.During that time, Pam spoke French and learned the importance of customer service.
With the help of Pervis Boudreaux, the D.S. Young Insurance Agency was able to purchase the first ever insurance office to open in Youngsville, LA; the Bourque and Bernard Insurance Agency. In the late 80's Pervis built an office behind his residence to personally cater to the patrons of the Youngsville and Milton area, making this his primary office in 2005.

 Pervis reviews risks to determine which company or companies would best cover the account as well as inspects risks in order to give price indication. He graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute with a major in accounting and a minor in risk management. Pervis belongs to the St. Josephs Usher society, the Youngsville Lions Club, the Youngsville Knights of Columbus and the Milton Civic Organization. He is past president of the Independent Agents Insurance Exchange.


Pam BurleyPam Boudreaux-Burley - Partner/Agent

 Pam concentrates on customer retention and how it affects the agency as a whole. She started her career in insurance in 1988 working for State Farm but the majority of her customer service experience comes from working in sales at Service Chevrolet and Lafayette Motors. Pam Graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a major in Psychology and minored in sociology and English. She is a past board member of the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce  and a vice President of the Krewe des Amis. Pam also belongs to the Youngsville Lions Club and the Milton Civic Organization.

 Gertrude Boudreaux is the wife of Pervis and performs the duties of Treasurer for the agency. She is a business development officer for Community First Bank and is a graduate of LSU Banking School of the South. She serves as the Vice President for the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Broussard Chamber of Commerce.  She is also the treasurer for the Krewe des Amis Mardi Gras krewe in Youngsville. Gertrude is also a board member of the Milton Water District.

 Jon Burley has been employed by Smith International and Schlumberger for the past 33 years.  He is the father of five children; Rachel, Erin, Bryson, Blaire and Barrett.  Jon is a founding member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Pius Catholic Church in Lafayette and is becoming involved as a new parishioner at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Milton.  Jon is looking forward to becoming more involved in the agency as a solicitor upon his retirement with Schlumberger in the future.
